On March 2, 2026, the Board of Alderman of Mantee, Mississippi, passed Ordinance #2601, Dwelling Ordinance.

This ordinance replaces the 2011 ordinance of the same topic to clarify minimum standards for dwellings within the Town of Mantee limits in order to protect public health, safety, welfare, and property values and to promote orderly development.

This ordinance replaces the 2016 ordinance of the same topic to prevent, reduce, or eliminate blight or causes of blight within the Town of Mantee by the regulation of uncompleted, abandoned, dilapidated, or deteriorated buildings; to provide for the removal of building material of any kind whatsoever from land in the city limits; and to provide penalties for the violation of the ordinance. This ordinance will take effect 30 days after ratification.

On December 4, 2023, the Board of Alderman of Mantee, Mississippi, passed Ordinance #2401, Mobile Food Vending Ordinance. This ordinance provides guidelines for the operation of mobile food trucks within the town limits of Mantee, Mississippi, throughout the year. In summary, food trucks will be allowed to operate in the parking lot north of the Mantee Depot or on private property, with written permission from the property owner, between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. any day of the year, except during town-appointed special events, and will be required to submit the specified paperwork and a $25 annual fee.
